Today's Gossip: Arsenal Plot Move For Carrassco; Morata Move Stalls

Liverpool have turned their attentions to a Sporting Lisbon star, while Alvaro Morata’s Man Utd move is in doubt, according to Saturday’s European papers.

Arsenal in Carrasco race
Bayern Munich and Arsenal are both reportedly in the race to sign Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco.

The Belgian winger was one of the star perform, scoring 14 goals and amassing five assists in 53 games in all competitions.
According to Fichajes, both clubs are willing to pay the 23-year-old’s release clause, rumoured to be in the region of £86 million.

Meanwhile, a report in AS claims that Arsenal could put money from a sale of Alexis Sanchez towards a bid for Carrasco.

Atleti will be reulctant to sell any of their star players however, due to a transfer ban which prevents them signing players until January.

Man Utd in Dembele race
Barcelona want to get a move on in the race for Ousmane Dembele, according to a report in L’Equipe.
According to the report, Barca’s sporting director Robert Fernandez, has been in contact with Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, for a number of months.

The former Rennes star is also being chased by Manchester United, but there are no talks of a bid from the Red Devils just yet.

This comes after reports earlier in the week which suggested that Mino Raiola wants to become the agent of Dembele.

Such a move could spell bad news for Barcelona’s hopes of finding a deal and could also be a boost for United.
