Nigeria Vs Corsica Preview: Team News, Match Info, Kick Off Time & Possible Line Up

Corsica will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly game today, May 26.

The Corsica Senior National team have not played any match in a year.

Corsica is an island and one of the 13 regions of France and while being part of the European giants it is also designated as a territorial collectivity (collectivité territoriale) by law.

They are however not affiliated with either UEFA or FIFA and as such do not participate in any competition.

The last time they played a football match was in May 2016, which was  Basque Country. They lost 9-8 on penalties after regulation time ended 1-1.

With only 16 players in camp for their training match against Corsica, Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr is expected to hand debuts to probably all the fresh call ups available for the game, even though the bulk of the starting eleven will be the same players he has worked with since he took charge of the team.

So it means as many as five players in the starting eleven could make their debuts tonight, with young full back Tyrone Ebuehi also very likely to play his first game for the Super Eagles.

The game in Ajaccio will kick off by 8pm at the Stade Francois Coty.
