Salary Arrears A Thing Of The Past As NFF Commences Outstanding Payments To Coaches

Long standing debts of the NFF to national team coaches looks to be cleared in the near future as the football authority began process of clearing outstanding payment.

The NFF are indebted to a lot of national team coaches with arrears running into several months.

The football federation had signed a N2.5 billion sponsorship deal with oil and gas company Aiteo that looked to payout N500m every year for five years to help with coaches' remunerations.

Gathered at the Glass House in Abuja on Tuesday, May 16 were about 15 national team coaches who were there for reconciliation of outstanding wages.

Chief coach of the Super Eagles Salisu Yusuf was among a host of coaches that were at the NFF office.

Others included Alloy Agu, Fatai Amoo, David Ngodigha, Monday Odigie, Manu Garba, Nduka Ugbade, Edwin Okon, Chris Danjuma, Peter Dedevbo, Toyin Ayinla, Lateef Yusuf, Bala Mohammed, Ann Chiejine and Bala Nikyu.

Eagles coach, Rohr and Super Falcons coach, Florence Omagbemi, were however absent.
